Akiko

Akiko grew up in the Valralorian Capital, raised by her grandparents while her parents explored distant lands as researchers. Her grandparents, both retired adventurers, nurtured Akiko’s sense of purpose by sharing their own knowledge and experiences. This upbringing instilled in her both a love of adventure and a strong sense of responsibility. Tragedy struck when Akiko’s family received a letter from the government announcing her parents’ deaths near the borders of Draconia.

 

With this news, the financial support from her parents’ work ended. Her older sister, Sora, who was already working as erotic dancer to bring in extra income, now had a financial issue to deal with, she contemplated working as a prostitute in pleasure quarter to bring in additional income. Sex work was known to pay very well, but it was something Sora was morally not ready to do, but in order to help her family she was ready. Fox Traits

As a Kitsune (Fox-kin), Akiko possesses heightened senses of hearing, smell, and hunting instincts, aligning closely with her animal counterpart. When backed into a corner, her animal instincts take over, ensuring she fights fiercely without hesitation.

Fox Fury

Fox Fury is the nickname given to this power and an ancestral ability Akiko has yet to awaken. Passed down through generations of her family’s Fox-kin lineage, this ability is believed to enhance her senses, strength, and bloodlust, while also triggering a powerful transformation. In this state, Akiko manifests nine tails, each acting as a “life” that protects her from lethal blows by sacrificing one tail per fatal strike. This power also increases her ferocity, making it difficult for her to distinguish friend from foe. Once common among her royal Fox-kin ancestors, Fox Fury has become a forgotten power, its true activation method still unknown.

Fox Magic

Akiko’s cultural magic allows her to communicate directly with other foxes, hearing their thoughts in their own inner voice. While she can communicate intent and emotions with other animals, the connection is not as detailed.

Spirit Magic

Unlike spectral magic, Akiko’s Spirit Magic taps into the spirits of nature. Primarily used to buff or enhance, this magic enables her to start fires with blue flames for warmth, create illuminating orbs for visibility, and protect or strengthen allies around her.

Relationships​

Suzuran

Akiko met Suzuran in Mahina Village during a difficult mission against a group of Nue. Strongly attracted to Suzuran’s toned body, fighting prowess, and beautiful features, Akiko developed an immediate infatuation, hoping for a deeper relationship. She expressed her feelings over and over, but Suzuran gently rejected her, leaving to continue her adventures and suggesting Akiko consider joining Crimson Moon, as Akame had extended an invitation. A month later, Akiko arrived at the Crimson Moon guild hall, only to learn that Suzuran was now in a relationship with Yuzuki. While initially disappointed, Akiko eventually accepted the outcome, treasuring their friendship and the camaraderie they now share as guildmates.

Kurohime

Kurohime is a figure of both attraction and caution for Akiko. With her curvaceous, confident presence, Kurohime knows exactly how to draw Akiko’s attention. Akiko finds herself often admiring Kurohime’s body from afar, yet Kurohime, keenly aware of Akiko’s glances, will teasingly adjust her outfit to reveal more, playing into Akiko’s interest. For example, if Akiko is caught looking at Kurohime’s cleavage, Kurohime might subtly pull her outfit down to show more. However, Kurohime has ceased her advances since noticing Akiko’s focus shifting toward Nila, respecting Akiko’s budding relationship.

Yuzuki

Akiko hasn’t had many interactions with Yuzuki, harboring some jealousy due to seeing her as the one who “stole” Suzuran from her. This has contributed to their distance, and with no strong need for interaction, they remain relatively uninvolved in each other’s lives.

Sora

Sora is Akiko’s older sister by twelve years. Before they relocated to Redcrest or Mahina Village, Sora took pride in her looks and used them as an erotic dancer to help support the family. Growing up, Akiko admired her sister’s confidence and often wondered what life might have been like had she followed Sora’s path. However, upon seeing the moral compromises Sora considered to provide for their family, Akiko ultimately decided on a different path for herself, leaving those thoughts behind.

Nila

Nila, was a previous member of the Abyss guild. After Akame's intervention from preventing her and Kasumi from being punished by their guild leader and after she had won the guild dual. She is now a full member of Crimson Moon. Since then, Akiko has fallen in love with Nila and the feeling for Nila is the same. The two are often inseparable and always together, even on missions.
