Amaya

Amaya, a 50-year-old succubus who appears to be in her early twenties, began her life in Valralor’s capital in the pleasure quarter. For several years, she wandered independently until she joined a party of adventurers who she journeyed with for four years. The bond she formed with her group brought her joy, but tragedy struck during an expedition in an abandoned dungeon. There, they encountered primal demons that had escaped from hell. While such sightings were extremely rare, they weren’t unheard of. The party planned their approach and executed it with care—until the cleric of the group casted an altered holy spell meant to stun the demons. The spell instead revealed Amaya’s true form, exposing her horns, wings, tail, and pale skin. Shocked, her party hesitated, and in the distraction, one of the demons killed the cleric with a strike through her head. In her grief and anger, Amaya unleashed her demonic powers to defeat most of the demons, but her surviving party, fearful and disillusioned, attacked her as well without allowing her a chance to mourn her fallen friend or explain things. Unfortunately, amid all of the chaos, the demons killed the rest of her party. She was finally able to use her full power to end everything but... she had already lost everything.

Amaya resumed her human disguise and traveled southeast towards the Domain of Tides, seeking a fresh start. Her journey led her to Redcrest, where she unexpectedly crossed paths with Sora, an old acquaintance from her days in the pleasure quarter. The familiar face brought her a renewed sense of belonging, leading her to consider the village as her next home.

Abilities

Demonic Physique
Due to her succubus nature, Amaya possesses enhanced physical attributes, including agility, reflexes, and endurance, allowing her to dodge attacks effortlessly and move with exceptional grace in combat. Her physique also gives her heightened resistance to physical injuries, making her tougher than an average human.

Charm
Amaya's charm ability is a powerful succubus skill that allows her to influence and manipulate others to various extents, depending on the level of charm applied.

• Basic Charming: This standard charm can subtly “brainwash” a subject, allowing Amaya to gather information or subtly influence them. Basic Charming is more effective on those who are attracted to her or infatuated with her, but if the target shows no interest, she can initiate this effect with a kiss on the lips. Those under this basic charm usually remain in this state for about an hour, after which Amaya must wait for the effect to wear off before reapplying it. However, with a kiss, she can extend the charm multiple times for a maximum duration of up to 24 hours.

• Advanced Charming: This powerful version of charm enables Amaya to exert full control over the subject’s mind and body, persuading them to obey her commands without question. To achieve this level of charm, Amaya must first engage in sex with the target. While it is most effective on human men, it can also influence females, albeit with reduced potency. Advanced Charming can be activated or deactivated at will, and Amaya can charm multiple individuals at once if she has been intimate with them, effectively granting her a personal following if she wishes. The advanced charm can last for up to a week, making it a valuable tool she once used to cultivate a luxurious lifestyle in the pleasure quarter by compelling wealthy clients to return to her repeatedly.

Essence Absorption
Amaya can absorb the essence of others, particularly through sex, using it to rejuvenate herself and even heal minor injuries. Essence Absorption is most effective when combined with her charm ability, as it allows her to draw on a partner’s vitality over time. This ability however requires her partner to orgasm inside her which allows Amaya to absorb his essence. She does have to be cautious though since causing a partner to climax multiple times in a few minutes could cause her to want more and never stop, causing her to kill her partner.

Transformation
Though Amaya usually appears human, she can reveal her true form at will, complete with horns, wings, and tail. Transforming boosts her physical strength and grants her short-burst flight capabilities, useful for both combat maneuvers and escapes. While transformed, her aura becomes more intimidating, potentially unnerving her opponents or distracting them briefly.

Amaya wields a type of dark flame originating from her demonic lineage. These demonic flames can be channeled through her hands or used to enhance her attacks, leaving a lingering, draining burn on anything they touch. The flames have an eerie quality, appearing almost ghostly in nature and sapping the willpower of those affected by them, potentially weakening their defenses against her charm abilities.

Sora
Sora and Amaya first met in the pleasure quarter, where they both started their work at the brothel. Amaya’s first encounter with Kurohime in Redcrest left her in awe. She hadn’t realized the Queen of Cindermaw was still alive and at first was fearful but then overwhelmed with joy, greeting Kurohime with a heartfelt hug. Coming from her mother’s kingdom, Amaya had always admired Kurohime’s rule over the power-driven succubus who led Pleasure’s Maw. Kurohime’s strength and vision were something Amaya respected deeply.

While learning that Kurohime had destroyed her former home, Amaya held no resentment, as she had few attachments there, having journeyed to the surface world for years. Finding someone who shared her lineage was a comfort. Amaya’s relationship with Morye, while not deeply personal, is one of respect. Aware of Morye’s loyalty as Kurohime’s personal guard, Amaya admires her resilience in adapting to life on the surface world. Amaya respects Akame’s leadership over Redcrest and understands her authority as the guild’s leader.
