Ember

Ember is a fire dragonoid (fire dragon) whose family originally lived in Draconia. However, due to the oppressive treatment Dragonoids faced from true dragons, who saw them as lesser beings, her family planned and escaped the Kingdom. They settled in a cabin just outside of Draconia's borders, southeast of a Valralorian military outpost, which provided enough security to give them peace of mind. Despite the relative safety of their temporary home, life was initially difficult, with food and resources in short supply.

Determined to support her struggling family, Ember took it upon herself to become an adventurer. Though her combat skills were untested, she was ready to provide. Leaving her younger sister, Crystal, to manage the home, Ember ventured out into the world. Within a year, she rose to A-Rank status in the adventurer’s guild, earning enough money to ensure her family’s stability.

Her path crossed with Kurohime and Akame during a mission to kill an undead lich threatening trade routes east of the Valralorian capital. The successful completion of the mission led to an invitation from Kurohime to join Crimson Moon. Ember promised to join after completing her remaining commitments.

​

A month later, Ember arrived at the Crimson Moon Village to find that her sister, Crystal, had also been invited to join the guild. The reunion solidified Ember’s decision to stay, and she has since become a valued member of the community, balancing her duties as an adventurer with her role in supporting her family.

Abilities

Fire Lance
Ember wields a lance engraved with runes. This weapon serves as an extension of her will, allowing her to channel fire and lava magic. By striking the ground with her lance, she can create fissures that erupt with flames or molten rock.

Fire Dragon Aura
When Ember activates her wings and tail, her strength and speed are enhanced, and she emits an intense fiery aura. This aura generates a massive amount of heat, making it dangerous for enemies, or allies, to approach without protection. The closer someone is to Ember, the more likely they are to suffer burns from the radiating heat, though Ember herself is immune.

Fire Dragon Breath
This ability allows Ember to unleash a powerful stream of fire from her mouth, much like a true dragon. The flames are incredibly hot and can reach considerable distances, making it a devastating attack. Despite its power, Ember rarely uses this ability, as she dislikes how it makes her feel as if she is 'becoming' a true dragon and betraying her friends and family.

Heat Resistance
Ember is impervious to most heat environments and immune to the effects of fire-based magical attacks.

Relationships

Crystal
Ember deeply loves her younger sister, Crystal, though she sometimes finds her excessive sleeping frustrating. She harbors a touch of jealousy over Crystal’s cuter and more curvy figure but is ultimately proud of her. Their shared membership in Crimson Moon has brought them closer, and Ember is grateful for the village’s stability, which has allowed them to live comfortably and move their family into the village itself.

Akame
While not as close to Akame as some other guild members, Ember holds her in high regard. She is grateful for Akame’s leadership and for providing a safe home for her family.

Kurohime
Initially, Kurohime harbored resentment toward Ember due to her being a fire dragon, but overtime Kurohime realized Ember couldn't help what she was and her fear was over something else. Back at the guild, they have discussed their vastly different upbringings—Ember’s in Draconia and Kurohime’s in Hell—fostering mutual respect and understanding.

Morye
Despite their shared dragonoid heritage, Ember and Morye haven’t interacted extensively. Ember did offer support to Morye during her difficult adjustment period at the village, particularly when Akame’s identity as a harbinger was revealed.

Akiko & Nila
Sharing a room across the hall from Akiko and Nila has been challenging for Ember. The nights they have sex often leave her sleepless, even with a soundproofing rune purchased by Fae. Despite her frustration, she is happy for their relationship, though the frequent disruptions throughout the night sometimes leave her both irritated and sexually frustrated. Because Akiko and Nila have been the second couple to live on the third floor, Ember has been unable to control herself in the night when she can hear both couples having sex. The first night that Ember finally caved in to temptation was the night that Akiko and Nila first had sex. The soundproofing rune had actually failed to keep the noise low and Ember heard everything, causing her to finger herself until her frustrations were completely gone.

Suzuran & Yuzuki
Similar to her experiences with Akiko and Nila, Ember has had to endure the nightly noises of moaning coming from Suzuran and Yuzuki. This led to an awkward but honest conversation with Suzuran, in which Ember politely requested they have sex earlier before everyone heads to bed. The exchange took place while Suzuran was hanging laundry outdoors and Ember was washing her own bedsheets and underwear. Suzuran instantly could tell Ember must have fallen prey to her own sexual frustration and her bedsheets plus underwear experienced the aftermath. Suzuran gave a genuine smile and agreed to keep things down during the night to which Ember thanked her.
