Information

Morye is a 35-year-old Skeletal Dragon dragonoid with a background bathed in hardship and loss. Born in Carrion Coven, a kingdom ruled by the undead, Morye spent her early years in the neighboring realm of Cindermaw. Her mother had moved them there under royal duty to shield her during a time of unrest. It was in Cindermaw that she met Kurohime, a Demonic Dragon and the realm’s princess. The two formed a deep bond, with Morye eventually taking on the role of Kurohime’s personal guard. She trained as a mage, learning dark magic often associated with hell—including dark fire, necrotic abilities, and spirit-based spells.

Morye quickly saw the need for versatility and honed her skills with a blade, becoming a “dark spellblade” skilled in both magic and melee combat. Her life took a tragic turn when she was summoned back to Carrion Coven, only to find her father, Noxus, ruling as king through terror, her mother executed for attempting escape, and her childhood friend presumed dead in the destruction of Cindermaw. Plagued by grief, Morye spent years training in isolation, plotting escape from her father’s rule, and enduring a forced marriage to the Fire Lord of Draconia.

After escaping to Valralor, Morye was eventually saved from a lethal pursuit by Crimson Moon members Yuzuki and Suzuran, who brought her to safety and connected her with Gelina for healing. Reuniting with her long-lost friend Kurohime within the guild, Morye chose to stay. Her initial time with Crimson Moon was spent in seclusion, processing her grief. Though initially withdrawn, she shared with Kurohime that, in time, she felt at peace in the familiar presence of an old friend.

Beneath her hardened demeanor, Morye is compassionate and deeply loyal. Life’s trials have made her resilient, but when her defenses drop, she reveals her gentle, loving side—a woman who longs to be accepted and to find peace alongside those she holds dear.

Abilities

Dark Flame

Morye’s Dark Flame is a potent magic originating from hell, and she wields it with impressive mastery. She can control various intensities and forms of this flame, often using it to enhance her blade attacks. When her blade is engulfed in dark flame, any strike that fails to cut through an opponent’s armor will instead melt the area of impact, weakening their defenses over time.

Dark Magic

Dark Magic is Morye’s primary field of magic, and her affinity for it gives her access to spells with a demonic, necrotic twist. This advanced form of necromancy allows her to summon undead entities from the hell realm, which are inherently more dangerous than those on the surface. She can summon lesser undead demons as allies, with her strongest spell conjuring a small undead wyvern to aid her in battle.

Blademaster

Although not officially recognized as a master, Morye’s skill with the blade is at an advanced level, and she has adopted a combat style that blends seamlessly with her magic. She is often compared to Suzuran in terms of bladework precision, though she lacks Suzuran’s speed, giving her a unique, balanced fighting style that exemplifies the dark spellblade.

Undiscovered Abilities

Morye’s full potential has yet to be realized, and there are abilities within her still awaiting discovery.

Relationships

Kurohime
Kurohime holds a special place in Morye’s heart as her best friend from childhood and the one she thought lost forever. Growing up together in Cindermaw, Morye and Kurohime were inseparable. As Kurohime’s personal guard, Morye felt both honored and fulfilled, with those years marking some of her happiest memories. Believing her friend perished in Cindermaw’s destruction, Morye grieved deeply for over a decade. Their reunion at Crimson Moon reignited hope and light in her life, as she found joy and purpose in knowing her best friend was alive and well.

Akame

When Morye first met Akame, she felt an initial fear, recognizing her as the Crimson Oni from the Seers’ paintings of the Harbingers, Morye had seen in Draconia. Despite this initial apprehension, Morye’s perspective softened over time as she observed Akame’s genuine care for her guild members, treating each one as family. Witnessing the close bond between Akame and her sister Suzuran reminds Morye of her own relationship with Kurohime, whom she cherishes like a sister.

Yukari
Morye’s initial impression of Yukari was one of distaste, stemming from her protective instincts toward Kurohime. She frequently caught Yukari sneaking out of Kurohime’s bedroom after they had sex, leading her to almost intervene to keep Yukari away. After a discussion with both Yukari and Kurohime, Morye gradually accepted their fling type relationship. These days, Morye often hints that Yukari should find someone to settle down with, hoping it might stop her from spending time with Kurohime.

Gelina
While initially cautious of Gelina due to her monster origins, Morye is genuinely grateful to her for saving her life. However, she has, on occasion, stumbled upon Gelina’s “sexual” treatments for the village men, which eventually led to a prohibition on Gelina providing these services at the guild hall. Though she usually avoids Gelina’s sexual side, Morye has been caught by Kurohime seeking sex advice from Gelina on making a man happy, leading Kurohime to wonder if Morye is preparing to settle down herself.
