Tetsuhana (Hana)

Information

Tetsuhana, often called Hana by her friends, is a 31-year-old mix of kitsune and demon. Her unique lineage combines the natural agility and cunning of the kitsune with the raw power and magical affinity of her demonic bloodline. Born and raised in Whisperwind Village, Hana spent her early years alongside her closest friends, Akame and Kurami. Her tomboyish and mischievous nature often got them into trouble, but her fierce loyalty and protective instincts made her an irreplaceable part of their group.

At 16, Hana’s life took a dramatic turn when her family moved to the Iron Legions. Although leaving Whisperwind and her friends behind was difficult, Hana saw the move as an opportunity to grow stronger and prove herself. She quickly gained recognition as both a skilled fighter in the legion's arenas. Her fame as the "Stormclaw" attracted attention from far and wide, but her heart remained tied to the memories of her childhood in Whisperwind.

Years later, after learning of the destruction of Whisperwind Village, Hana was overjoyed to reunite with Akame, who sought her out after founding Crimson Moon. Their emotional reunion rekindled their friendship and gave Hana a new purpose. Accepting Akame’s invitation to join the guild, Hana relocated to Crimson Moon’s village, where she reconnected with old friends and began forging new bonds. As a member of the guild, Hana continues to hone her abilities and be the guilds loyal blacksmith.

Abilities

Enhanced Reflexes
Thanks to her kitsune heritage and rigorous arena training, Hana has exceptional reflexes. She can dodge and counter attacks with uncanny precision, making her a difficult target for opponents who rely on brute force or predictable patterns.

Demonic Strength
As a kitsune-demon hybrid, Hana possesses strength beyond that of a typical human. This strength, combined with her brawler fighting style, allows her to overpower opponents in close combat. Her physical prowess is a key component of her effectiveness in both arena battles and real-world confrontations.

Blacksmithing Expertise
Although not a combat ability, Hana’s skills as a blacksmith are noteworthy. She crafts high-quality weapons and armor, often enhancing them with elemental properties. Her creations are highly sought after, both in the Iron Legions and beyond. This in part is due to her fathers teachings and training.

'Stormclaw' Technique
Hana’s signature fighting style combines her kitsune agility, demonic strength, and self-taught lightning magic, making her a unique and formidable combatant. Though the name "Stormclaw" suggests an intricate or highly refined technique, it is actually a simple but devastatingly effective style of brawling infused with her raw magical potential.

Hana has a natural affinity for lightning magic. However, being largely self-taught, she lacks the polished finesse of a trained mage. Instead, she channels her magic in bursts, amplifying her strikes with arcs of lightning. This technique allows her to chain together rapid, powerful attacks that overwhelm her enemies before they can react. Her lightning-infused punches and kicks deliver shocking impacts that leave her foes reeling, and her agility makes her strikes nearly impossible to predict or evade.

Within the Iron Legions, some even compared her to Rajen, the Abyss guild's S-Rank member who also is essentially a brawler that uses lightning magic as well. However, the two are fundamentally different: while Rajen relies on enchanted gauntlets to harness his lightning magic, Hana’s power is a manifestation of her soul and mana, drawn directly from her innate magical connection. Her raw, untamed use of magic emphasizes her reliance on instinct and improvisation, setting her apart from traditional mages and fighters alike.

Relationships
Akame
Hana and Akame share a deep bond that began in their childhood. As one of Akame’s closest friends, Hana was always there to support her, whether it was defending her from bullies or encouraging her to embrace her strengths. Their reunion years later was an emotional turning point for Hana, who felt a renewed sense of purpose in joining Crimson Moon. While she occasionally teases Akame, she has immense respect for her leadership and strength.

Kurami
Hana's relationship with Kurami is one of playful rivalry and genuine affection. The two often teamed up to cause mischief in their youth, with Hana frequently encouraging Kurami to join in her antics. Despite their differences, they share a strong bond forged through years of shared adventures and mutual support. Hana admires Kurami's dedication to her family and her role as a protector of Opal's Reach.

Suzuran
Hana views Suzuran as a younger sister and has always been protective of her. During their childhood, Hana often looked out for Suzuran, ensuring she felt included in their group despite being much younger. Now that Suzuran has grown into a skilled adventurer, Hana takes pride in her accomplishments while still offering guidance and support when needed.

Kurohime
Hana respects Kurohime as a powerful ally and leader but is wary of her influence on Akame and Suzuran. She worries that Kurohime’s more mischievous tendencies could lead her friends astray, though she acknowledges that Kurohime has a good heart and genuinely cares for Crimson Moon. Over time, Hana has come to appreciate Kurohime’s strength and leadership, even if she doesn’t always agree with her methods.
